GTA+ in 2026: What the Membership Includes and When It Is Worth It

GTA+ costs $7.99 per 30-day period (€7.99 in France) and pays 500,000 GTA$ at every renewal, along with monthly bonuses, a free vehicle and a library of Rockstar games. It is worth it if you play every week on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC Enhanced and make use of the monthly bonuses. For a casual player, or on PS4 and Xbox One where it does not exist, it is not a good buy.
What does GTA+ include in 2026?
According to Rockstar Support and the official page, the membership gives you each month:
- 500,000 GTA$ paid into your Maze Bank account at every renewal;
- access to The Vinewood Club: a 100-car garage, vehicle discounts and test drives, and a vehicle to claim;
- activity bonuses reserved for members (double payouts on some missions, discounts);
- a library of Rockstar games you can play while the membership is active;
- special Shark Cards with 15% more GTA$, and 20% off some digital editions of Rockstar games.
Since the Mansions update (December 2025), GTA+ also gives access to the Vinewood Club app to manage some staff remotely (Hangar, Warehouses, Bail Office), according to the update 1.72 patch notes published by GTABase.
The September 2026 month in detail
The current period runs from September 10 to October 7, 2026. According to Rockstar Actu:
- the Pegassi Horus supercar, free one week before it releases for everyone (announced regular price: 2,810,000 GTA$);
- double payouts on the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid, which means 1,200,000 GTA$ for the first completion of the week;
- bonuses on Biker businesses and Nightclub exports;
- discounts on Nagasaki motorcycles and on Biker business upgrades;
- a chameleon paint job and exclusive clothing.
How much does GTA+ cost and on which platforms?
| Point | What we know on September 23, 2026 | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Price in the United States | $7.99 (up from $5.99 before 2024) | GTA Intel, 2026 |
| Price in France | €7.99 per 30 days | Rockstar Actu, Sept. 10, 2026 |
| Price in Switzerland and Canada | 6.29 CHF; CA$10.99 | Rockstar Actu, Sept. 10, 2026 |
| Platforms | PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC Enhanced edition | Rockstar Support |
| Where to subscribe | PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store; on PC, the Rockstar Store, Microsoft Store or Steam | Rockstar Support |
| PS4 and Xbox One | Not available | GTA Intel, 2026 |
Over a year, that comes to about 96 dollars or euros. That is more than a full-price game: so the question is not "is it expensive?" but "am I going to use it every month?".
Is 500,000 GTA$ a month good value?
To put that amount in context, compare it with what the game pays without a membership. According to Timesaver (September 10, 2026), the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid finale, which is free and playable alone, pays 600,000 GTA$ the first time each week. In other words, the monthly GTA+ payment is worth less than a single one of those finales.
The payment alone does not justify the membership. What can justify it:
- the vehicle of the month, if you want it (a 2.8 million supercar in September);
- the double payouts, if you happen to play the activity in question that month;
- the games library, if you actually plan to play it;
- the 100-car garage, if you collect cars.
If none of those four points speaks to you, keep your $7.99.
Who is GTA+ worth it for, and who should skip it?
| Your profile | Our take |
|---|---|
| You play several evenings a week on PS5, Xbox Series or PC | Worth a look, especially in months when the bonus covers an activity you already do |
| You collect cars | Worth a look for the garage and the monthly vehicle |
| You play once or twice a month | Not worth it: you will not use the bonuses |
| You are just starting | Not a priority: the free activities pay more than the monthly payment |
| You play on PS4 or Xbox One | Not possible: move to the PS5 or Xbox Series version first |
A good approach: do not subscribe "by default". Read the content of the month, which changes every cycle, and subscribe only for the months that interest you. A beginner will get more out of a good first week without a membership: see how to start GTA Online in 2026 and what to buy first.
What happens if I cancel the membership?
- The GTA$ already paid out stays yours.
- The Vinewood Club garage: according to the GTA Wiki, vehicles already stored stay accessible, but you can no longer store new ones. Check this in game before you count on it.
- The games library can no longer be played: claimed games only work while the membership is active, according to GTA Intel.
- Member-only bonuses and discounts stop at the end of the paid period.
The free month of GTA+ with the GTA VI pre-order: what is the catch?
Digital pre-orders of GTA VI, which opened on June 25, 2026, include one free month of GTA+. JVFrance (June 30, 2026) points out that this membership renews automatically: when the free month ends, you move to the regular price if you have not canceled.
For everything confirmed about GTA VI (date, editions, price), see our dedicated page.
How do you cancel GTA+?
You cancel where you subscribed, not in the game:
- PS5: Settings, Users and Accounts, Account, Payment and Subscriptions, Subscriptions, then GTA+;
- Xbox: subscription management in your Microsoft account;
- PC: in the store you used (Rockstar Store, Microsoft Store or Steam).
Menu names can change with console updates. Canceling the renewal does not cut off the period you already paid for: you keep the perks until it ends.
Which GTA+ mistakes should you avoid?
- Forgetting to claim the vehicle of the month. You have to claim it during the current period; once the cycle ends, it is no longer free.
- Subscribing mid-month without checking the calendar. The September cycle ends on October 7, 2026: a membership started the day before leaves you only a few days to use that cycle's bonuses.
- Counting on bonuses for an activity you do not do. Double payouts on Biker businesses are useless if you do not own any.
- Keeping the membership "just in case". $7.99 a month for a year is the price of a new game.
The short version
GTA+ is neither a scam nor a must. It is a comfort membership for regular players on a current-gen console or PC. The 500,000 GTA$ payment alone is not worth $7.99 to someone who knows how to make money in game. The vehicle and the monthly bonuses can be worth it, one month in two or three. Decide month by month, never out of habit.
